Simunovich Olive Estate is also home to a unique restaurant, Bracu, which takes its name from the Adriatic island of Brac, the place where our olive growing tradition began.
It is a rare thing to be privileged enough to have an estate so beautiful. So, one day, as we walked through the rows of olives that march down the valley, we struck upon an idea: why not share our good fortune with others - let them experience a taste of what we have created, and care for.
Sitting atop the estate, like a sentinel on permanent guard, was a historic kauri villa that until this point we had left untouched. It was all the motivation we needed to create a dining experience like no other in New Zealand. A place where we could share our life with others in that most noble of all traditions - through good friends, great company and even better food. Today that idea is simply called Bracu - a dining destination that ignites the senses, captivates the palate and replenishes the soul.

"We recently dined at Bracu Restaurant and we experienced something special. The venue was beautiful and peaceful, the food and wines were amazing and the service on the day was second to none. We really appreciate the effort the staff at Bracu went to ensure our lunch was one to remember."
